— Raritan DCIM Business Unit Demonstrates Strong Market Position, Ability to Execute, and Comprehensive DCIM Offering —

SOMERSET, N.J. (September 30, 2014) Raritan, a leading provider of data center infrastructure management (DCIM) and rack power distribution solutions, today announced that it was selected to be included in the first Gartner Magic Quadrant for DCIM tools.*  Raritan is one of only 17 DCIM vendors—from a field of more than 90 vendors—to be included in the Magic Quadrant report published by Gartner this month.

Only vendors that demonstrated a strong market position with mature products and operations were selected.  The report underscores the importance of this emerging market, while helping to define the market and identifying true DCIM technology providers.  By 2017, Gartner forecasts that DCIM tools will be deployed in more than 60% of the larger data centers in North America.

Raritan—an early entrant into the DCIM market—has a comprehensive DCIM Monitoring and Operations solution used by hundreds of leading data centers worldwide—including data centers supporting six of the top 10 technology companies.  Gartner cited a number of factors for selecting Raritan for its initial Magic Quadrant for DCIM, including Raritan’s integrated DCIM product offering, global sales channel strategy, IT-focused partner network and a direct
presence in 13 countries.

“Its DCIM offering consists of dcTrack and Power IQ, which provide detailed views of physical assets; manage changes; and provide monitoring, tracking and analyzing of power, energy, resource capacity and the environment.  These products appeal to both IT and data center facilities operations professionals,” wrote Gartner about Raritan.

“We want to thank the team of Gartner analysts who did an extensive evaluation of the DCIM marketplace to produce this insightful and helpful educational report, which helps define the market and promote the compelling operational benefits of DCIM tools,” said Herman Chan, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Raritan’s DCIM Business Unit.  “DCIM tools are changing how modern data centers plan, manage and use resources.

“Raritan is in an enviable position of having all the right capabilities to help organizations optimize their data centers and deliver compute infrastructure resources efficiently—where and when they are needed.  Our DCIM success stems from our collaborative relationship with customers and partners, who inspire us to innovate, help us set our solution roadmap, and who are placing their confidence in our solutions.  Client success is Raritan’s highest priority,” added Chan.
